First Annual Art Show for BC Artists with Developmental Disabilities

The City of Richmond is pleased to host a preview exhibition of examples of artwork for the First Annual Art Show for BC Artists with Developmental Disabilities.

The exhibition will take place in the Upper Rotunda of the Richmond Cultural Centre at 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond from Wednesday, September 7 to Sunday, September 11, 2005. The official opening will occur on September 7 at noon. This exhibition is organized by Mainstream Association for Proactive Community Living (MAPCL) and its Presenting Sponsor, The Ethical Funds Company (Canada) in celebration of Community Living Month, October 2005.

Artists from across the province have created a wide range of work, including paintings, wood, sculpture and photographs. On October 6 and 7, 2005 there will be an exhibition and auction of the artwork at the Terasen Gas Building, 1111 West Georgia Street, Vancouver as a fundraising event for MAPCL and future art shows.
