Work Begins in the Bridgeport Area
Beginning December 12,2005, work crews will start relocating train track, sewer and underground power lines and other utlities in the Bridgeport area. This work is required so that construction of the Canada Line Operations and Maintenance Centre, the Bridgeport Station and the guideway for the Canada Line can begin.
Most of the work will be done with minimal effect to the public, motorists or neighbouring businesses. But there will be times when partial road closures will take place to allow for the moving of track and other utilities.
At the same time, the demolition of three buildings in the area will take place. There will be a minimal increase in noise during demolition.
