City of Richmond Impacted by Workers’ Protest

Richmond City Hall is open today, October 21, 2005, with limited service, however most other City facilities will be closed all day.
Normal childcare services will be in operation, however most other programming at community centres and other civic facilities, including aquatic and ice centres, has been cancelled for today. Staffing will be provided to allow a small number of previously scheduled special events to proceed, including the Battle of the Badges celebrity oldtimers’ hockey game scheduled for Minoru Arena at 7 p.m.
The disruption to service is expected to continue throughout the day with regular service levels resuming on Saturday, October 22, 2005.
