45 Candidates Enter Richmond Civic Election Race

Two mayoral candidates and 25 councillor hopefuls will have their names before Richmond electors in the 2005 Richmond General Local and School Election. Another 18 candidates will vie for School Trustee positions.
The City of Richmond will hold a General Local and School Election on Saturday, November 19, 2005 for the position of Mayor and eight Councillors for the City of Richmond, and seven School Trustee positions for the Richmond School District.
Election Day voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Advance elector registration has now closed, however eligible electors will still be able to register to vote on election day, or on Advance Voting Days.
