Voters List

Inspecting the Voters List
In accordance with the Local Government Act, the List of Registered Electors  (Voters List) for the City of Richmond will be available for public inspection at the:

Election Office 
Room M. 1.002
Main Floor 

Richmond City Hall
6911 No. 3 Road
Richmond, BC, Canada

between 8:30 am and 5 pm on weekdays (excluding statutory holidays) commencing Tuesday, October 4, 2011, until the close of general voting on November 19, 2011.

Please note that persons inspecting the List of Registered Electors will be required to sign a statement that they will not inspect the List, or use the information included in the List, except for election purposes.

Voters List Privacy
In order to protect personal privacy and security, an elector has a right to request that their personal information (name and/or address) be omitted from or obscured on the List of Registered Electors which is to be made available for public inspection.

Contact the Election Office at 604-276-4100 before 5 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 if you wish to have your personal information omitted. 

Objections
An objection to the registration of a person as an elector may only be made by a person who is entitled to have their name appear on the List of Registered Electors. The objection may only be made on the basis that the person has died or is not qualified to be an elector in Richmond.

The statement of objection must be in writing, signed by the objector, and must include:

  1. the name and address (as shown on the List of Registered Electors) of the person against whose registration the objection is being made;
  2. the basis of the objection; and,
  3. the name and address of the objector.

Any person wishing to object to the registration of a person as an elector must do so no later than 4 pm on Friday, October 14, 2011 by writing to:
