Richmond's Sister City in the Province of Quebec, Canada
The Cities of Richmond and Pierrefonds became twinned on July 29, 1967. We marked the 40th anniversary of this relationship with Pierrefonds in 2007. The two cities pledged to promote cultural, tourist, and social and economic exchanges between their residents. The Zenith Student Leadership Conference is being held in Richmond on May 15, 2008 at the River Rock Casino. Two students from Pierrefonds will be attending the conference and will be hosted by the Sister City Committee.
Pierrefonds was a residential City located on the north west side of the island of Montreal. It has since become amalgamated as one of the boroughs of the new City of Montreal as Pierrefonds-Roxboro.The population of Pierrefonds-Roxboro is over 60,000.
