Richmond Museum Society
Established in 1961, we are a non-profit society whose mandate is to develop and maintain a community museum that collects, documents, researches, preserves and interprets objects of historical and cultural significance to the development and history of Richmond.

Why become a Member?
Your support will help the Museum Society to improve the exhibitions and education programs offered and will allow for the continued care and development of the Museum’s historic collections.

What are the Benefits of Membership?
Besides contributing to the ongoing preservation of our community’s history,  there are a number of other benefits to becoming a member of the Society:

  • Richmond Museum Society lapel pin.
  • Invitations to all Richmond Museum special events, e.g. exhibit openings, publication launches, etc.
  • 10% off Richmond Museum public programs and publications.
  • 10% off admission to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and 10% off regular priced items in the gift shop.
  • Information about Volunteer opportunities at the Richmond Museum

How do I Become a Member or Make a Donation to the Society?
Just print and fill out our PDF Document Membership Application Form and either mail or drop off your application with payment to the Museum. Membership is good for one year from the date of purchase.

Donations over $25 (separate from membership fee) will receive a Charitable Tax Receipt.

Membership Categories
Basic Membership
$15 Individual
$20 Couple
$25 Family (Up to four people)
Students & Seniors receive 15% off individual or couple rates.

Business/Corporate Memberships
In addition to the benefits listed above, business/corporate memberships include:

Level 1: Supporting - $100

  • Your business name on our “Corporate Wall of Fame”.
  • One copy of all Richmond Museum publications.

Level 2: Sustaining - $250

  • Your business name on our “Corporate Wall of Fame”.
  • One copy of all Richmond Museum publications.
  • $150 Charitable Tax Receipt.

Level 3: Developing - $500

  • Your business name on our “Corporate Wall of Fame”.
  • Richmond History Slide Show for your staff.
  • One copy of all Richmond Museum publications.
  • $400 Charitable Tax Receipt.

Level 4: Enriching - $1000

  • Your business name on our “Corporate Wall of Fame”.
  • Richmond History Slide Show for your staff.
  • One copy of all Richmond Museum publications.
  • Historic photo plaque for your place of business.
  • $900 Charitable Tax Receipt.

Level 5: Inspiring - $5000

  • Your business name on our “Corporate Wall of Fame”.
  • Richmond History Slide Show for your staff.
  • One copy of all Richmond Museum publications.
  • Use of the Museum for one corporate reception (up to 50 people; catering not included)
  • $4900 Charitable Tax Receipt.
