Volunteer Positions

For all of the following positions a 2-4 hour time commitment once a week is required.  The benefits include applying your skills and talents to gain knowledge within the non-profit sector.  You will receive training and support to enhance your experience in a supportive environment.  Build your confidence, art-knowledge and social consciousness.

EXHIBIT TOURS

Duties: provide English/Mandarin speaking tours on current Gallery exhibitions.

Qualifications: A second language preferable Mandarin. A strong interest in contemporary visual arts and educational programming, personable, good public speaker, interest in research and art history.

TRANSLATION

Duties: type and print translated Chinese documents at home (RAG does not have font or Chinese-text-software).

Qualifications: fluent in Chinese – spoken and written.  Must have proper program at home to type and print out translated texts in Chinese for gallery publications.

CLASSROOM PREP
Duties: set up and clean up programming room before and after art-class; prepare art materials prior to and during workshop; assist children with projects and understanding artistic process.

Qualifications: enjoy and respect children; exhibit basic art making skills; enthusiastic and motivated; clear and audible speaker; criminal check required.
