Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are welcome at the Richmond Arts Centre. Volunteers are needed to assist Arts Centre instructors in a variety of children’s arts programs throughout the year and also for occasional special events. Programs cover a range of art including drawing, painting, drama, clay and more. Volunteers are needed to assist with classes for children ages four to eighteen. All volunteers will need to complete a criminal record check before working with children.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Helping the instructor set-up and prepare for class
- Helping the instructor clean up after class
- Assisting the instructor during large classes, ensuring each child is given ample attention. This may include running errands for the instructor, dealing with children needing extra attention, or even taking a child to use the washrooms.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the Richmond Arts Centre, please fill out the on-line Volunteer Application Form or you may also obtain a form from the front desk of the Richmond Cultural Centre.
User Groups
The Richmond Arts Centre is proud to be the home for several different user groups. These groups hold their meetings, classes and workshops in our studios. Many of them also hold exhibitions at various times of the year and make their work available for the public to purchase.
Download the Art Centre User Groups PDF to find out about the groups contact person and information on their regular meeting days and times. All groups welcome new members.
