| “I have never seen another city put as much thought into its planning and processes. Input from the community is taken into consideration at every step and used to give the community back more than expected. "I always tell people about the great opportunities available here. The real question is – why wouldn’t you want to work for the City of Richmond?” Reg Supervisor Utilities |
Our city has experienced tremendous growth and change, transforming from a rural community into a world-class city with a balance of urban, sub-urban, and rural areas. The downtown core is continuously developing. Major recent projects include the Canada Line Rapid Transit Line and the Richmond Olympic Oval, home of speed skating for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
Please see our City Profile for more information on Richmond’s location, the population and geography, and other cultural and recreational amenities.
